Broncos Dominate Chiefs/ Raiders Take Division Lead

The Denver Broncos bounced back after a bye week to beat the Kansas City Chiefs 49 to 29 at Invesco Field. Going into the game, the Chiefs led the AFC West Division race, but gave it up to the Oakland Raiders after the loss. The Raiders are now tied with the Chiefs at 5-4 as both the Raiders and the San Diego Chargers had bye weeks in week 10.

The AFC West just got tighter as no team seems to want to step up to take the title. Denver, who still sits in last place in the division, is now only 2 games away from the Raiders and the Chiefs. This just means that every game involving these four teams is crucial down the stretch. The big game to watch for next week with be the rival game between the Chargers and the Broncos. I really think this could be the biggest game in the season for both of these teams as a loss for either team would almost put them out of a chance to win the division. Who will win the Chargers vs. Broncos game next week? Which team is going to stand on top at the end of the regular season? Let me know what you think.

If you ask me, I'm taking the Denver Broncos.

  1. As a Chiefs fan, can't help but be frustrated with the way things went down Sunday, but gotta tip your cap to the Donkeys. The AFC West is absolutely up for grabs. Will the Broncos be the ones to step up? I don't think so. Although I think 9 wins can be enough for the division crown, Denver will need to be perfect for the next seven games. With two matchups with San Diego and trips to both Arrowhead and Oakland remaining on the schedule, I think the Broncos will have a very tough time getting to even eight wins.

As for the Chiefs, they remain at the top, but there needs to be a sense of urgency. Although nine wins may be enough, with KC's division record I feel like they will need ten wins to wrap up the title. They will absolutely need to get wins in the three divisional games remaining on the schedule.

  3. I think all the teams have a chance, including the Broncos. I think the Broncos need to win out which is no easy task especially since they have to play on the road at Arrowhead. The Broncos are starting to pull it together and I see the Chiefs falling apart internally in their organization.

  5. I dont like to be the bearer of bad news, and keep in mind that i am a cheifs fan, but i feel that the cheifs are going to be the cheifs and they are not going to finish in the top spot of our division. i think that it will be the Chargers and ill even go as far as saying i dont think they will finish in teh top two it will be another team in the two spot.
